Why use an air switch?
An air switch is a safer way to operate your waste disposal, even with wet hands. Because it uses air pressure instead of electricity at the button, it can be installed right next to taps or in any wet area around your sink.
 
How does an air switch work?
Pressing the button compresses air in the tube, activating the internal contact switch and supplying power to the waste disposal. The mechanism stays engaged until the button is pressed again, cutting the power.
